Principal’s Message

Alliston Community Christian School is an independent school, which is a member of the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools (OACS), Christian Schools Canada (CSC) and Christian Schools International (CSI). Much of our curriculum, educational advice and support come from these three organizations. A Board of volunteers is elected by the members of the Alliston Interdenominational Christian School Society (AICSS) to direct and protect the school through board driven policies.

The foundation of our curriculum is the Word of God. We believe that the Bible is the absolute truth and develop our programs, morals and disciplinary action from that foundation. ACCS provides a safe environment, which nurtures students by focussing on the integration of faith and learning.

Highly qualified professional educators teach all grades. We are committed to keeping our teaching practices and materials current and relevant in order to maximize student learning and achievement. The content of our courses allows students to transfer with little difficulty to other programs and systems. Our graduates are fully prepared to meet the challenges of secondary education, whether they pursue public education or continue in the Christian School system (Unity Christian High school in Barrie).

Our school has a dynamic music and sports program as part of our curriculum across the grades. We have a junior choir for grades 1-4, a recorder class for grade 4 and an instrumental band for grades 5-8. Our Physical Education Program highlights most of the major sports emphasizing attitude, participation and skill development. ACCS competes with other area Christian Schools for softball, cross-country, track and field, volleyball, soccer and basketball.

The school is situated on seventeen acres in a rural setting. Students are able to enjoy a number of outdoor activities. Older students have access to an exhilarating snow-tubing hill. A large wooded area allows exploration of God’s creation in a natural setting.

The aim of ACCS is to direct the growth of students so they will be able to respond to God’s will as servants in His Kingdom, humbly serving others with the gifts, talents and abilities God has given them. This has been our task since the school began in 1981 and it remains our mission today.

In His service,

Lillian Parasol
